Members of VFW Rogersville Post 9543, Bulls Gap Post 5266 and
Church Hill Post 9754 respectfully observed the Hawkins County Veterans Day ceremony on Tuesday.
The event, presented by the Joseph Rogers VFW post in Rogersville, drew a crowd of several hundred
people, from public officials to school children. Former Congressman and Hawkins County native Bill
Jenkins was guest speaker, along with participation from Rogersville City School Chorus, Cherokee
High School and Volunteer High School NJROTC units and the VFW and American Legion Ladies
Auxiliaries. For more photos, see pages 6A and 7A or visit
