Wade Littleton has rejoined the Review as Sports Editor, coming home to the newspaper he worked for from 1989-92. In a way, it's like the movie "Back to the Future". "I'm excited to be working for the Review once more," Littleton said. "It's an honor to get to work in the community where I've lived for many years. The staff has made me welcome here. It's like I never left."
Littleton, 48, has lived in Hawkins County for the last 22 years and is a native of Sullivan County. He comes to the Review after dual stints as correspondent for Hawkins Today and Tri Cities http://Sports.com , a new media company in Kingsport.
He was previously employed from 1989-92, when the Review was a weekly newspaper. During those years, Littleton received the 1991 Public Information Award from the Tennessee Recreation and Parks Association for coverage of Rogersville Parks and Recreation Department activities. He was nominated for that honor by then-director Craig Price, now parks director for Morristown.
A 1987 graduate of ETSU, Littleton's career began in 1986 with the Kingsport Times-News as a sports desk correspondent, introduced into the business by veteran Sports Writer Bill Lane. He has also been employed at newspapers in Wytheville, Va. and Morristown. He is also a 1983 graduate of Sullivan South High School in Kingsport.
Littleton has been married to the former Tina Wolfe for 21 years. She is employed by the State of Tennessee. They have four children, Daniel, Lance, Makayla and Nathaniel, along with a grandson, Isiah.
