ROGERSVILLE - A drug purchase involving a confidential informant reportedly resulted in the arrest of three family members early Saturday morning, with authorities also seizing more than 400 assorted pills, $1,110 in cash and multiple firearms from their Mooresburg home. Myrna Kathrine Long, 50, and Gary Henry Long, 52, both of 143 Church Lane, Mooresburg, were each charged with sale and delivery of schedule II drugs (Oxycodone), possession of schedule II drugs with intent to sell or deliver, possession of schedule III drug with intent to sell or deliver, possession of schedule IV drugs with intent to sell or deliver, simple possession of marijuana and maintaining a dwelling where narcotics are housed/sold/used. Courtney Brooke Long, 21, of the same address, was charged with possession of schedule II drugs with intent to sell or deliver, possession of schedule III drug with intent to sell or deliver, possession of schedule IV drugs with intent to sell or deliver, possession of legend drugs, simple possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. According to the Hawkins County Sheriff's Office, on Nov. 20 officers from the department's Narcotics Unit met with a confidential informant who indicated they could purchase Oxycodone from Myrna Long, with the informant then "wired" with a transmitter and provided with $80 to purchase a quantity of Oxycodone. After meeting with Long on Friday evening the informant provided officers with two 40 mg Oxycodone. Following the alleged drug transaction a search warrant was obtained for the Church Lane residence, with officers arriving on the scene shortly after 11 p.m. The three family members were at the residence and officers also reported locating "422 and one-half pills" including various quantities of Oxycodone, Dextrostat, Endocet, Hydrocodone, Diazepam, Xanax, Phentermine, Methocarbamol, Allopurinol and Colchicine, according to HCSO reports. The reports also note two medicine bottles were found indicating the drugs had been prescribed to other individuals. A quantity of what is believed to be marijuana was located as were two scales and "papers that appeared to be drug ledgers." Officers also seized $1,110 in cash and 17 firearms, including two revolvers, five rifles and 10 shot guns.
