Mary Elizabeth Biggs, age 82 of Pulaski, TN formerly of Rogersville, died Sunday, August 24, 2008 at NHC Health Care System, Pulaski after an extended illness.

She was a member of First Baptist Church of Rogersville, where she initiated and served as leader of the Mary Biggs Circle for 33 years. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, James "Jim" Biggs, Sr.; parents, Henry and Eula Hall Elkins; son-in-law, Robert "Bob" Poling; sister, Frances Burdine and brother, Elmer Elkins.

Survivors include her daughter, Debbie Poling of Pulaski; son, Jimmy Biggs, Jr. and wife, Susan of Rogersville, grandchildren, Todd Biggs and wife, Kristi, John Biggs and wife, Beth Anne all of Rogersville,  Amy Poling White and husband, Jason of Murfreesboro, Paula Poling King and husband, Wes of Maryville and Allison Poling Garibaldi and husband, Michael of Memphis; great grandchildren, Brady Biggs and Katie Biggs; Laney and Erin Biggs all of Rogersville,  Jackson and Aaron White of Murfreesboro,  Carley and Owen King of Maryville; brother, John Elkins and wife, Belle of Rogersville.

Calling hours will be 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M., Tuesday, August 26, 2008 at Broome Funeral Home, Rogersville and other times at the home of Jimmy and Susan Biggs, 416 E. McKinney Ave. Rogersville, TN.  Funeral service will be conducted at 7:00 P.M., Tuesday, August 26, 2008 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Jim Lindsay officiating. Graveside service will be 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, August 27, 2008 at McKinney Cemetery.
