Ethel Moneyhun

Ethel Moneyhun, 90, of Johnson City, formerly of Rogersville, passed away Wednesday morning (Aug. 6, 2008) at Lakebridge Health Care Center.
She was a member of the Rogersville United Methodist Church. She taught school for 37 years in Hawkins and Grainger County, retiring in 1979 from Mooresburg School, moving to Rogersville. She was a member of Tate Springs Chapter #425 Order of the Eastern Star for 55 years. She was also a member of the Retired Teachers Association of Hawkins County. She was preceded in death by parents, John Aaron and Laura Wolfe Moneyhun; brothers, Hobart Moneyhun and Eugene Moneyhun; sister, Katherine Moneyhun; and niece, Elizabeth Wilkie. She is survived by three nieces, Barbara Keith and husband, Winfred of Kingsport, Ann Greene and husband, Lowell of Johnson City and Sara Willis of Knoxville; nephews, John Moneyhun of Blountville and Donald Moneyhun and wife, Betty of Bristol; several great-nieces and nephews; two great-great nephews. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Rogersville United Methodist Church. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. at the church with Rev. Carl Jones officiating. Interment will follow in Highland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Rogersville United Methodist Church, 110 Colonial Road, Rogersville, TN 37857.
