Eileen (Blackie) Davis, age 57, Rogersville,  passed away Thursday, November 27, 2008, at her home.
    She was a member of Stone Mountain Baptist Church.
    She was preceded in death by her mother, Lula Brown; father, Lee Davis; step father, Charles "Ross" Brown; husband, Harvey Courtney; twin sister, Geraldine Russell; brothers, Hubert, Jack, Bill and Major Davis; step half sisters, Leon Wilson and Alice Mallory.
    She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Tina and Danny Davis; son and daughter-in-law, David and Leann Courtney; four grandsons, Calab Davis, Justin Davis, David Ferrell, Dawson Courtney; two granddaughters, Heather Leonard, Cheyenne Courtney; great grandson, Ayden Trent; five sisters, Loretta Davis, Lois Bailey, Trudell Trent, Ruth Trent, Gladys Russell; half sister, Pat Lawson; four brothers, Bert, Morris, Jake, Simpson Davis; two half brothers, Raymond and E. J. Trent; her special dog “Bud Man;” several nieces and nephews and a host of loved ones and friends.
    The family received friends 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, November 29, 2008, at Christian-Sells Funeral Home. Funeral services were held 2 p.m. Sunday, November 30, 2008, in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Larry Helton and the Rev. Ernest Davis officiating.  Interment followed in the Dean Cemetery.
