Virginia Mae (Jenny) Davenport, age 75 of Rogersville went to be with the Lord Thursday evening (11/13/2008) at her residence.
    She was of the baptist faith and attended Shepard's Chapel. She was preceded in death by her parents; Hampton and Martha Jones Robinette.
    She is survived by her husband; R.L. Davenport of the home, three daughters; Barbara Davenport, Doris Gordon and husband Don, and Shelia Webb and husband Tommy all of Rogersville, two sons; Robert Davenport, Jr. and wife Sherry and Anthony Davenport and wife Sandy of Rogersville, 10 grandchildren, four great grandchildren, four sisters; Irene Baker of Kingsport, Janelle Stewart, Wilma Widner and Julia Black all of Ohio, two brothers; H.T. Robinette and Jack Jones both of Ohio.
    The family received friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, November 15, 2008, at Christian-Sells Funeral Home. Funeral services followed at 8 p.m. in the the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Eddie Elkins officiating. Graveside services were held 2 p.m. Sunday, November 16, 2008, at Ebbing and Flowing Spring Cemetery.
