William Lynn Beck, 68, of  Whitesburg, departed this life Saturday (Aug. 2, 2008).
 
    He was born in McMinn County, TN and moved to Hawkins County at an early age.  He graduated from Bulls Gap High School and was retired form John Sevier Fossel Plant as a boiler maker welder.

    He is preceded in death by his father, Earl Beck; sister, Marjorie Beck Manes; brother Earl Beck, Jr.

    He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Charlcie Beck of the home; son, Billy Beck and girl friend Cheryl Mullins; daughter, Helen Manis of Rogersville, two grandsons and one granddaughter; mother, Geneva Beck of Whitesburg; brother, Dudley Beck of Knoxville.

    The family will recieve friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Monday (Aug 4, 2008) at Christian-Sells Funeral Home in Rogersville.  Funeral services will follow at 8:00 p.m. with Rev. Terry Bunch officiating.  Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m Tuesday at Courtney Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to Adventa Hospice Service.
