CHURCH HILL - Jackie Lynn Amyx, age 32, Church Hill, died Tuesday, April 22, 2003, following a brief illness.
She attended Volunteer High School and had worked at Fairway Market for 18 years and was currently employed at Five Star Food Services. She was a member of Lewis Lane Baptist Church. She was a devoted sister, aunt and friend and will be remembered fondly.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Mollie and Cart Ray; grandfather, Frank Amyx; and brother, Tony Martin.
She is survived by her parents, Phyllis and Jack Amyx; siblings, Tim Martin, Knoxville, Jeff and Anissa Amyx, Kingsport, Tony Amyx, Kingsport, Billy and Tara Amyx, Church Hill, Tamara, Christina, Christopher, Adam Amyx and Misty Walls, all of the home, Eddie and Kristi Russell, Kingsport, April Greene, Erwin, Candi Trammell, Church Hill, Vikki and Everrett Cobb, Morristown, Sam and Diana Jones of Georgia, Becky Murphy of North Carolina, Amanda Morelock, Rogersville, and many others throughout the years as foster siblings; grandmother, Elsie Amyx, Kingsport; a very special niece, Taylor Amyx, Church Hill; many other nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Emily "Jane Potts," Kingsport.
Funeral services were held Friday, April 25, 2003, in the Carter-Trent Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Al South officiating. Burial followed in Ross Campground United Methodist Church Cemetery, Church Hill. Pallbearers were Randy Ray, Stevie Barber, Shane Johnson, Brian Ford, Mark Ray and Anthony Laughlin.
