Jackie Glenn Gibbs, age 55 of Rogersville, passed away, Monday, January 25, 2010 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center following an extended illness. 
    He was retired from TVA. 
    Mr. Gibbs was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Doris Patterson Gibbs; brother, Michael Patterson.
    He is survived by his wife, Orphia Martin Gibbs of the home; son, Daniel Gibbs and wife, Samantha of Nashville; brother, Hoot Gibbs and wife, Virginia of Robbinsville, North Carolina; half-brother, Mark Gibbs and wife, Ella of Pigeon Forge; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, step-siblings and exchange students.
    Calling hours will be 3 to 4 p.m., Friday, January 29, 2010 at Broome Funeral Home, Rogersville.  Memorial service will be 4 p.m., Friday, January 29, 2010 in the funeral home chapel with Brother Jimmy Millsaps officiating.
    In lieu of flowers memorial contribution may be made to the charity of your choice.
