Christabel "Cricket" Lawson LeRoy, age 88 of Rogersville, passed away, Monday, January 25, 2010 at Brookhaven Manor, Kingsport following an extended illness. 
    She was a member of Rogersville First Baptist Church. 
    Mrs. LeRoy was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph T. LeRoy; parents, James Henry and Emma Lena Bass Lawson; sisters, Thelma Lawson Collins; brothers, Joseph Christopher Lawson, Ben Lawson, Frank Lawson and Mack Lawson.
    She is survived by her daughters, Mary Davis and husband, J.W. of Surgoinsville, Linda Courtney and husband, Roy of Rogersville; sons, James R. LeRoy and wife, Joyce of Pressman's Home, Walter LeRoy and wife, Ann of Lexington, Kentucky, Homer LeRoy of Rogersville; grandchildren, Jennifer Hanson, Amanda Gunter, Stacy LeRoy, Jonathan LeRoy all of Rogersville, Missy Pruner, Timothy LeRoy both of Lexington, Kentucky, Pamela Davis Grimes, Billy Joe Davis both of Crawfordsville, Florida, Dawn Thurman of Rogersville, Cheryl Cradic of Surgoinsville, Beth Gibson of Rogersville; 15 great-grandchildren; sisters, Kitty Kathleen Cross of Kingsport, Martha Lane, Peggy Byrd and husband, Lloyd both of Rogersville; several nieces and nephews.
    Calling hours will be 5 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, January 27, 2010 at Broome Funeral Home, Rogersville. Funeral service will be conducted 7 p.m., Wednesday, January 27, 2010 in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Fred Smith officiating.  Graveside service will be 10 a.m., Thursday, January 28, 2010 at Highland Cemetery.
