Our beloved Tony went to be with our Lord on Tuesday, January 19, 2010 surrounded by family at Ft. Sanders Regional Medical Center in Knoxville at the age of 70. A native of Blackwater, Virginia, and a resident of Mooresburg, he was a faithful member of Valley View Missionary Baptist Church where he also served as janitor, church clerk, deacon and trustee for many years. He was a contractor for 52 years. Prior to his illness, he had perfect church attendance for 24 years. He was preceded in death by his parents Walter A. and Nell Satterfield Stuffle and a brother, Jack Horton. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Shirley Stuffle Horton; sisters, Glenna Tay of Vermont and Sue Seals of Jonesboro; brothers, Jimmie Horton of Mooresburg and Elmo Horton, of Mosheim; brothers-in-law, M.C. Stuffle and wife Brenda of Bean Station and J.D. Stuffle and wife Elaine of Mooresburg; nieces, Mary Ann Stuffle Haulbrook and husband Jimmy of Spartanburg, South Carolina, Teresa Stuffle of Mooresburg, and Tammy Stuffle Rouse and husband Dean of Morristown; nephew, Jimmy Stuffle of Mooresburg, and special great-niece, Kylie Jo Rouse; special great nephew, Elton Clark Haulbrook, and special uncle Maine West. and special friend Ellen Shuck. Special thanks to Dr. Dennis Duck and staff and Dr. Stephen Dill. The family will receive friends from 6 - 8 p.m., Friday, January 22, 2010 at Allen Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, January 23, 2010 at Valley View Missionary Baptist Church in Mooresburg with the Reverend Jack Hipsher and the Reverend Roger Porter officiating.
