Marie Vernona East was born on July 4, 1922 and fell asleep in Jesus on Tuesday, December 1, 2009 surrounded by her family, and is now awaiting the call of the live giver at the resurrection.
    She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church.
    She is survived by her husband, Robert East of Rogersville, three children, Robert Vernon and wife, Pat of Kennesaw, Ga., Barry Barnard East and wife, Diane of Rogersville, daughter, Karen Louse Collins and husband, Don of Church Hill, five grandchildren, Kristina Ann Zink and husband, Josh of Sahuarita, Az., Roger Arthur East and wife, Krystal of Surgoinsville, Timothy Robert East of Rogersville, Sean Tyler East of Rogersville, Robert Adam Pillor of Church Hill, three great-grandchildren and two sisters, Margaret Rhinehart of Spencer and Helen Clayburn of Burleson, Tx.
    The family and friends will meet at the cemetery chapel at 12:45 p.m. Friday, Dec. 4th at the Mt. Home Va. National Cemetery. Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 4th with Rev. Andrew VanArsdale and Pastor John Duroe officiating.
    Colboch-Price Funeral home in Rogersville is serving the East family.
